Tragically, despite requiring the highest levels of care, these are often the children who slip through the net. So, there’s now more need than ever for providers to identify issues, and deliver required care, as efficiently as possible.
At their best, health needs assessments offer providers a quick, inexpensive, route to identifying the health, wellbeing, and social needs of children across the country. However, if managed poorly, needs assessments are yet another bureaucracy. They can easily become an additional administrative barrier to providers’ abilities to deliver on care plans.
